A new stage has begun

Everything has come together in one neat? package. After 2 weeks of dodgy drawings and scribblings, notes and spider diagrams I have produced an actual thing! I have created something which I can now actually do and design and build. I spent ages trying to include all the bits of research and stories by having lots of different activities and stages and clues. Now I have one contained event which can draw on all of the influences...

The Sandcastle game. Names? ''Just like Margate'', ''When you was a boy, you looked out and thought you was at sea'', ''Pick the past'' they need a lot of work...

Progress

After researching newspapers stories at Tower Hamlets Archives, I have a good grounding of images and nuggets of information about what the park was like and what has happened there. It was a park for community cohesion, tea dances, concerts, a lido, boat rides, fishing, bathing and more!
There is alot of nostalgia surrounding the park and lost history which has literally been concreted over. The park has gone from a pretty place with art deco buidlings and forests to flat green open space with vandalism and a lost community.
Interviews that I have been successful, and a little depressing.

I want to make a non-exclusive peice of work-open to everyone, I want to make something which will connect the users of th epark with the past and how the park was to perhaps make them appreciate it more and think how it could be.
